Greetings NABFA Members, Friends and Colleagues,

The 15th Annual North American Black Fly Association (NABFA) meeting will be held in Harrisburg, PA at the Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Laboratories Building March 1-3, 2017. We invite black fly enthusiasts, researchers, control specialists and students to join us to exchange ideas, information and camaraderie.

Students are especially encouraged to participate in the Mike Spironello Award competition presented annually to the student giving the best presentation. The award was established to honor the memory of former NABFA Secretary and black fly researcher, Mike Spironello, who passed away unexpectedly in 2006.

Lab and field tours will take place on Wednesday afternoon beginning at 2:00pm followed by a mixer Wednesday evening from 6:00pm-9:00pm sponsored by Valent BioSciences.

Presentations will begin Thursday March 2nd at 8:00am and conclude around 2:00pm Friday March 3rd.

Meeting Registration
The registration fee is $110. Meeting registration includes a T-shirt, lunch Thursday, and dinner, speaker and tour at the National Civil War Museum in Harrisburg on Thursday evening.

Blocks of rooms have been reserved with special pricing ($115.00+tax) at two hotels below. You must book by February 1 to receive this special price (follow links to book the group rates). From the Harrisburg International Airport, the Spring Hill Suites by Marriott provides a free airport shuttle between the hours of 8am to 8pm with 72 hours advance notice.  The Hampton Inn does not provide any shuttle service.
